Pizza Crust made with Pizza Flour (00 Flour)


  • 1 ½ c warm water 90-100℉
  • 2 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 4 ½ c pizza flour
  • 2 TBSP vegetable oil
  • 1 TBSP + 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp salt


  • Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in oil, sugar, salt and half of the flour.
  • Stir in remaining flour until dough forms.
  • Knead for approximately 5 minutes; until dough is smooth and springy.
  • Grease a large bowl; place dough in bowl, turning it over to coat all sides. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oven to 425℉
  • Divide dough in half. (Recipe is enough for two pizzas.)
  • Place one dough ball on greased cookie sheet or pizza pan and press dough into a 12" circle. Dough should be slightly thicker at the edges of the circle.
  • Prick crust thoroughly with a fork and bake 8-10 minutes until it begins to brown.
  • Flip crust over.
  • Top with sauce, cheese, and toppings, spreading to within 1/2" of edge.
  • Bake 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden. (TIMES WILL VARY.)
