Pizzelle

Gram's recipe.
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine melted
  • 1½-2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Add and heat ingredients together in order listed (use the smaller amount of flour for the thinner pizzelle)
  • Drop by rounded spoonful onto center of pre-heated grid.
  • Close lid and clip closed.
  • Cook until steaming stops, about 60 seconds.
  • Remove with fork and lay on towel until cool.

Notes

Note: Cookies can be rolled while hot.
