- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 3 cups water
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 glove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 pinch each marjoram, basil, black pepper
- Grated parmesan cheese, optional
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over medium heat for at least 40 minutes.
- Makes about 4 1/2 cups of sauce.
