Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 carrots peeled and chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 rib celery chopped
  • 7 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 4 cups chopped cooked chicken meat
  • 1 package egg noodles
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • salt to tast
  • 1 pinch thyme
  • 1 pinch poultry seasoning

Instructions

  • In a large stock pot, saute veggies and garlic in butter or margarine.
  • Add chicken, broth, and spices. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  • In a separate pot, cook egg noodles.
  • Dish cooked egg noodles and soup into bowls to serve.
