Layouts and Borders
You've divided up your photos and know which ones go together, now what? On this page, you will find some examples of layouts and some borders. (Note: More border ideas can be found under punchies.)
Sometimes the best embellishments for a page, come not from the event, but from the individuals themselves! Here the right hand page is a terrific poem that reflects many of the feelings from the day... it is done in colors to match the opposite page. (The poem is printed on vellum to give the page a softer look.)
What do you do when you don't have pictures for an event? Or if you have feelings or "intangibles" that you want to include? You include the scraps and you journal!
Pet pictures! Note the the teeth saved in the memorabilia heart in the second layout and the puzzle pages in the last two layouts.
What to do with a bunch of pictures of a house? Try this. Questions to consider on pages like these include why did you choose those colors, what is the equipment in the pictures used for, and what are the specific names of the plants and colors. Also, consider doing before and after pages.
Try using journaling blocks, split pages, vellum, and dark paper backgrounds. And don't forget, it's okay to use postcards and other scraps (you may want to spray them first). Future generations will be interested in that stuff, too.
There is also the possibility of two page spreads, pop-up and peek-a-boo pages, landscape, and the list goes on... come back soon to see more layouts and ideas.
